A USAR team from Central Scotland Fire & Rescue at Alloa will be competing at the WRO/UK USAR Challenge in Cardiff on Thursday the 10th of July 2008 at the Cardiff International Arena.

The challenge takes place during the World Rescue Organisation Extrication Challenge & Conference 2008.

The team will be lead by Watch Commander George Carson of Green Watch, Alloa.

USAR trained Firefighters from all watches at Alloa will make up the team entrants.

UPDATE 12th JULY 2008

CSFRS USAR Team competed on Thursday 10th July at the WRO Challenge in Cardiff.

We were runners up to Leicestershires Technical Rescue Team, the USAR Challenge was very close run , there were only 3 points between ourselves and the winning team from Leicestershire F&RS.

Congratulations to Leicestershire from us all at CSFRS USAR.
